At Home With Joey
At Home With Joey started out in the kitchen of
Joey’s On The Beach back when we were located next
to Club LaVela on Thomas Drive. The first few shows
ran on cable access. It didn’t take long for things
to come together for us, and we made the move to
FOX. The shows were filmed from a waterfront mansion
on Panama City Beach for a few months while we renovated
our kitchen and took the show home. It all made
sense – At Home With Joey.
Our first season of the show aired
at noon 2-3 times per week on the local FOX affiliate
in Panama City, Florida. After a full year, 53-weeks
in a row, we were ready for a change. We just felt
we needed to reach a larger audience, so we canceled
the noon show and took some time off. After opening
our new Thomas Drive location in 2009 and then our
Joey’s II on the west end later that year, we decided
to try some evening runs on FOX, and there’s where
you’ll find us now! Sunday nights at 9:30PM on WPGX
FOX-28 in Panama City and all of Bay County, Florida.
During our first season we took the
show on the road a few times to change it up some
and to add some reality to the whole thing. We had
a lot of fun doing those shows back then, so when
we re-surfaced as At Home With Joey After Dark we
decided to do a lot of that. This gave us a chance
to work directly with our customers and get their
imput.
